Cemetery

The historic B'nai Israel Cemetery is an aesthetically pleasing facility located in Northeast Baltimore City at 3701 Southern Avenue. Click here for directions from Google. For over a century, the Cemetery has served the needs of its congregants as well as the entire Jewish community.

B'nai Israel Congregation takes great pride in managing the B'nai Israel Cemetery according to strictly traditional Jewish guidelines, preserving the dignity and respect of those interred there.

Ours is an active cemetery chosen by many who have roots dating back to the illustrious beginnings of the Baltimore Jewish Community and by an increasing number who recognize the desirability of a cemetery maintained by a reputable organization such as the B'nai Israel Congregation.

Under the direction of Neil Noble, chair of the Cemetery Committee, the entrance building has recently been completely remodeled, regular volunteer beautification programs instituted and a rigorous program of restoration and righting of gravestones dating back to the early half of the 19th century, is underway. The Cemetery is open during daylight hours except on Shabbat and major Jewish holidays.
